SEVEN AND A HALF YEARS ago
LUKE
“There’s Brady now,” Luke’s new employer, Scott Gresham, said with a smile of fatherly love and pride on his face.
Luke turned toward the direction Mr. Gresham looked, ready to see his teenage protectee.
Then he spotted him.
Brady.
He swallowed hard against the lump in his throat even as his dick plumped up.
Oh, fuck.
This would never work.
He frowned at the young man coming toward him, although he tried to school his features. This man would be his job from now on. His job to protect. He couldn’t breathe. It felt like he’d been kicked square in the gut and then lower where his balls pulsed.
The attraction was immediate and oh, so real.
What the fuck? He’d never had this kind of immediate reaction to a guy before. Never.
His first day on the job as a personal bodyguard, and already he faced the reality that he’d have to quit. He couldn’t focus on protection if hormones distracted him. The blond guy striding toward him offered the worst kind of distraction. Forget the fact that he was Luke’s job and was sexier than fuck, but he was also way too young for Luke.
Gorgeous didn’t even begin to describe his new charge accurately. His too-long, dark blond hair fell recklessly low over his eyebrows, giving him a rakish look. The guy next to him said something, and he smiled, flashing irrepressible dimples, Luke’s secret kryptonite.
But it wasn’t just his face that mesmerized Luke. It was the whole package. The kid wore a standard teenage uniform of a rock band graphic tee and tight, fitted jeans with rips all up and down the thighs. The guy walked with a confident, loping stride, powered by thick thighs he got a tantalizing little glimpses of through the ripped fabric and a high, tight bubble of an ass. Luke wanted that ass with a need like he’d never felt before. It thrummed under his skin.
He had to shut that shit down. Hell. His charge wasn’t even legal yet. Mr. Gresham had said his son was only seventeen years old. Luke was perving on a minor, and if the minor’s father knew Luke’s thoughts, not only would he fire him, he’d remove Luke’s balls first.
Suddenly the air inside the thirty-fourth floor of the New York City Gresham family office complex seemed way too thin. Luke couldn’t take a deep breath.
The two guys entered the main office and focused on Mr. Gresham.
Now that Luke could see past his initial surge of lust, he focused on both men together. They were both young. Where the object of his fascination had a light in his eyes and a younger, more enthusiastic aura around him, the other guy could be his darker, broodier twin.
Luke thought Brady was an only child. Maybe he’d misunderstood that somehow.
Mr. Gresham said as he waved the guys forward. “Brady, I want you to come over here and meet someone.”
Both boys glanced over at Luke, more curiosity than anything in their eyes. But then the blond guy’s eyes widened and his expression took on a predatory gaze. He raised an eyebrow and his mouth parted to expose the tiniest sliver of tongue.
Oh, fuck me. This was going to be so bad.
But then Mr. Gresham did something life-altering. He wrapped his arm around the dark-haired guy and pulled him forward. “Luke Jacobson, I’d like you to meet my son, Brady Gresham, and his cousin, Daniel.” Mr. Gresham waved at the blond, sexy kid.
Relief flooded Luke.
A cousin. Luke could control his lust for a cousin. How often would the two be together? It couldn’t happen all that much, right?
His job was safe. His future secure. He wouldn’t have to give up the best thing that ever happened and wind up homeless. He could be Brady’s bodyguard and chauffeur, no problem. As long as the cousin Daniel wasn’t around that often.
DANIEL
Daniel’s stomach rolled even as his dick swelled to rock-hard
and his asshole clenched.
“Bodyguard?” Brady started shaking his head like he planned to send the gorgeous guy away.
Daniel surreptitiously pinched his cousin’s side. Brady couldn’t blow this for him. Couldn’t he see how hot this guy was? Daniel didn’t want to die a virgin, and he’d just decided that Brady’s new bodyguard would be his first. Who cared that the bodyguard was probably only there to spy on them for Brady’s dad? If Daniel fucked him, he could convince the guy to come to their side. But not if Brady screwed it up for him first.
“Ow!” Brady turned and punched Daniel. “What the fuck are you doing?”
“Language,” Uncle Scott admonished, even as he exchanged a what-can-you-do-they’re-teenagers shrug with the big, sexy bodyguard.
While they were distracted, Daniel turned his back to his uncle and the hot guy and hissed, “Don’t fuck this up. He’s hot.”
Brady rolled his eyes. “Do you really think he’s gay?” Brady whispered back.
Daniel shrugged. He could hope.
And it was that hope that made it so Daniel didn’t care in the least that Brady didn’t want a bodyguard interfering in his life right now. Daniel wanted this guy and his cousin would not screw this up for him.
That damned virginity had to go before Daniel’s ‘nads petrified from constant need and horniness. He needed to fuck or get fucked. He so didn’t care which, as long as someone else was responsible for his orgasm. Daniel couldn’t deal with his own hand any longer.
He turned and took another long look at the sexy male specimen.
God, Daniel had never seen someone that so typified the term tall, dark, and handsome. Add in the dangerous look to the guy’s deep, intense, green eyes, and every nerve under Daniel’s skin lit up like he’d been suddenly electrified.
Uncle Scott didn’t notice Daniel’s distraction. “Brady, we’ve discussed this. The threats against you and the rest of the family have proved to be credible.”
Someone had tried to kidnap Brady last week after the end of the year football banquet. Luckily, the rest of the team that had been nearby heard him yell and were able to rescue him from the four goons shoving him into a van.
Ever since the incident, Uncle Scott had been going on about hiring a bodyguard for Brady. Not only were the Gresham’s incredibly wealthy, but Brady had more song-writing talent in his pinky than half the family combined. The Gresham family had generations of song-writing genes in their history, which was where their wealth came from...their various musical endeavors in the entertainment industry. All of that combined to make Brady a tempting prize for ruthless, greedy people.
“I get that you don’t want an adult in your space,” Uncle Scott went on.
“Dad,” Brady whined. “I’ll be eighteen in another month. Daniel already is. I don’t need or want a babysitter.”
“A bodyguard isn’t the same thing as a babysitter,” Luke stated.
His deep voice rumbled in a way that sent a shiver down Daniel’s spine. But then he frowned at the two of them like they’d been naughty and that sent Daniel’s mind spiraling to the many ways that Mr. Tall, Dark, and Scowley could discipline him. Daniel wanted to groan. He could almost come from the fantasy ideas flitting through his brain alone.
“I don’t care what you’re doing as long as you stay safe,” Luke said. “My goal is to protect you from other people. I’m not here to protect you from yourself.”
Uncle Scott nodded. “Please, Brady. Give it a try. Let Luke guard you for two weeks. If it’s still not working for you, we can discuss changing his employment.”
Only because Daniel watched the guy so closely did he see the flare of alarm in Luke’s eyes.
He needed this job.
Daniel had to make sure he kept it. “Come on, B. Let your dad do this. You know everyone has been worried about you. Put the whole family’s minds at ease.”
Brady turned to glare at Daniel.
“Please,” Daniel wordlessly mouthed to him.
“Okay, just because Daniel is so very worried about me,” Brady said with another hard roll of his eyes. He shook his head and shrugged. “We’ll try it temporarily.”
Luke’s shoulders relaxed and Daniel smiled.
In the end, Brady always had his back, just like Daniel would always have Brady’s.
IT WASN’T UNTIL ALMOST a week later before Daniel managed to corner Luke when he was alone.
Brady was onstage conducting the New York City Symphonic Orchestra as they played his latest arrangement. Luke hovered in the dark shadows off-stage watching the proceedings like someone could come out and snatch Brady away with three hundred musicians as witnesses.
Daniel snuck up behind him. He began to lean forward to press into the big, muscular body when Luke growled. “I’m working. Go play somewhere else, kid.”
Daniel scowled. “I’m not a kid.”
“Close enough to count as one.” Luke didn’t even glance at him.
That made Daniel want to stamp his foot and throw a tantrum like a toddler, but that probably wouldn’t help his case any. Instead, he stepped in front of Luke and crossed his arms over his chest. “What is your problem with me?”
Luke shook his head. “No problem. I just have to concentrate on my job. I don’t have time for whatever game you want to play.”
Those words should have crushed Daniel, but he’d seen the way Luke looked at him when he thought no one was watching. Luke felt this chemistry simmering between them as much as Daniel did, and Daniel didn’t see any reason to resist it. Not when they were both ready and willing.
“Nuh uh.” Daniel shook his head. “I don’t buy it. You want me, and I’m offering. It’s just sex. You can’t tell me you don’t want a piece of this.” Daniel turned and wiggled his ass.
Luke growled. “No.”
But that growl sounded like more need and frustration than anger.
Daniel silently crowed inside. He’d done squats religiously every single day this last year, and that effort had paid off. He had a bubble butt to die for. Many a guy had offered to take it, but for his first time, Daniel wanted someone he could trust. He wasn’t stupid and knew that most guys would fuck him and run to the tabloids with the story. So he’d decided that someone would be Luke.
Hell, the guy was some sort of highly decorated war hero, special ops dude. And all it took was a look at Luke to know there wasn’t anyone hotter. Daniel knew Luke would do him right. He dreamed about it at night.
Luke’s lips firmed and his eyes hardened. “Stop it, little boy. I’m way out of your league. You couldn’t handle me even if I wanted you, which I don’t. I’ll make this very easy for you.” Luke took a step forward, so he loomed threateningly over Daniel. “I’m saying no.”
But he didn’t intimidate Daniel. In fact, if anything, Daniel’s dick grew even harder. Could he die from lack of blood flow to his upper brain?
Luke wasn’t done making his point. “It. Will. Never. Happen. So, you need to give it up now. I don’t want you and no matter how much you shake your ass that will never change. Ever.” Then Luke stalked away.
Daniel stood there wishing it was that simple, but Luke didn’t know him. Daniel was a stubborn S.O.B. He didn’t give up.
LUKE
Luke stepped into the bathroom and slammed the deadbolt into place. He leaned up against the door, his pulse pounding in his ears like a drum.
“Fucking hell,” he muttered and pressed the meaty part of his palm against the base of his throbbing dick.
This job might just kill him. He wanted Daniel with a need like he’d never felt before...and that was only after a week of temptation. How much worse could it get?
Especially if the kid continued to pursue him. How long could he stay strong and say no?
Chapter Two
FIVE YEARS AGO
DANIEL
Daniel stood up straight from the professor’s desk and rucked up his jeans and underwear, tucking his still hard dick inside with a wince.
Not only did his ass hurt from that aggressive railing, but now he’d be dealing with blue balls all day.
He looked over his shoulder to Professor Graham. “So, will that get me my A in Advanced Musical Theory?”
Professor Graham stepped in front of him and palmed Daniel’s throbbing, needy dick. “Not only did you earn an A...” He leaned forward and bit Daniel’s lip almost hard enough to bring blood. No doubt it would stay swollen the rest of the day from the harsh abuse, but the sadistic professor liked it that way. He wanted to inflict pain. It gave him a special kind of joy to know Daniel would squirm uncomfortably the rest of the day on campus.
He stroked Daniel’s needy cock. “I think you earned a special reward. Do you want to come, Daniel?”
Daniel’s cock pulsed at just the idea. Normally, the professor didn’t allow him to come but maybe once every couple of weeks, and he was nowhere close to that timeframe, yet.
“Yes. Please.” His breath grew choppy even as the tip of his cock leaked all over his underwear.
“Okay,” Professor Graham said low and serious as his pressure on Daniel’s length increased.
Daniel desperately wanted to arch into that hand and increase the friction, but that wasn’t the way their arrangement worked. Showing his desperation for it would just prolong the torture.
“First, I need one more promise from you.”
“Yes, whatever you want.” At this point, Daniel’s balls hurt so much, he’d promise pretty much anything. He moaned as his balls drew up impossibly tighter, so ready to blow at the slightest hint that he could do it.
“Marisa is trying out for the Gresham Orchestra this week. Make sure she makes it.”
Marisa was the professor’s wife.
Daniel stilled in shock, wondering if the fact that he had zero blood in his brain had made him mishear. But one glance at the smarmy professor’s expectant face, disabused that idea.
